Please welcome Gothi William Nash!

Bill Nash started The Clergy Training Program a few short months ago. He has now completed the Program and is our newest Ordained Gothi to join The Asatru Community Clergy Family! Please help me welcome Bill Nash to our growing list of Ordained Clergy!

Like so many of us, I was raised in a Christian Church. And, like so many of us, it never resonated with me. I spent years studying various spiritual paths from Taoism to Gnostic Christianity, and while I enjoyed many of them, again, nothing resonated with me. But when I tripped upon Odin, Thor, Freya and Frey I felt like I had come home. It was as if I had known these Gods all my life.

Hungry to learn all I could, I read voraciously, amassing a small library on the lore, the Gods, the runes and the history of the Nordic people. In time, I formalized my study by engaging in The Asatru Clergy Training Program. Now, two years later, I’m thrilled to be becoming an ordained Gothi.

In this role, I hope to gather other followers of Asatru here in Northern Vermont. There are currently no Kindreds nearby, but I’m sure there are many in the area interested in Asatru. I’ve been a licensed Psychologist for the past 30 years, and hope to offer my services to other Gothi’s involved in counseling relationships who may be seeking some supervision or assistance.

I currently participate in various ceremonies, and look forward to doing so as an Ordained Gothi. Any and all interested are welcome to join us.

But most of all, I hope to bring the Gods into people’s awareness. I believe that by acknowledging them and honoring them, they gain power in our lives.

I live and work in Essex Junction, VT, just north of Burlington.
