How to create an Official TAC Fundraiser

Hey, hey you! There is something I wanted to talk to you about.


As you ought to know, TAC (The Asatru Community) is a 501(C)3 Non-Profit, Religious Organization. In other words, we are an "official" church recognized here in the United States and in many places around the world.


This means a few things, it means we as an organization have special powers and abilities, such as ordaining people to perform important social rituals such as weddings and funerals and being responsible for the spiritual well being of its constituents.


Importantly, unlike other groups and businesses it means we do not need to pay any taxes to the government, and it allows us to accept donations, that THEN BECOME TAX-DEDUCTIBLE. So there is incentive both ways.


As a church, we have many programs, from camps to rituals and lectures and everything in between. Unfortunately, as much as we would like to see otherwise, money talks and gets things done. Our programs all need to be funded in order for us to provide them.


Now the way that most other groups mitigate these costs, is by having membership fees, or other costs associated with being a member. At TAC, as you know, you fill find none of that. It's completely free to be a TAC member, thus we are missing out on that important income.


So how do we get by?


Well, our community runs purely off donations from the community itself. It always has. The generosity of our community members has allowed us to do amazing things, and we can't thank every single donor enough. They have done so much. Aside from generous donations, we also host fundraisers, raffles, competitions, and auctions.


As the years pass, there are new opportunities that we can take advantage of to help us raise funds for the community and do even greater more amazing things.


One of our best tools, is Facebook Fundraisers, we have raised thousands thanks to the generosity of the community.


Now you can host your very own TAC Fundraiser with very little to no effort on your part, and the best part is it goes straight to TAC. No dealing with the money or funds, or getting it to us or anything like that. It's all handled by Facebook and our associated bank account.


You can make a fundraiser for anything, for Havamals for the distribution program, funds for the emergency releif program, or your birthday! Any occasion is a good time to raise money for a good cause!


So how do you do it? You're going to want to follow this link: https://www.facebook.com/fund/TheAsatruCommunity/ and then follow the prompts and you're done! Any money you raise will go straight to TAC and into our programs and the future of our community.


The future is so bright if we come together and work together to achieve our common goals we can do anything!


So lets see those fundraisers pop up all over the place and lets get some funds for our many programs so we can grow and expand TAC further!
