After a month long search, I’m happy to announce that I have finally found a new Social Media Manager. Bridget Marquis has been an Admin, specifically for the Shieldwall Group, for around 3 months or so, and she has done a terrific job. I’m glad she decided to take on the role of SMM, and look forward to continue working with her.
Now, a word from Bridget:
“Hail everyone! I just wanted to take the time and introduce myself as a new Social Media Manager of TAC. My name is Bridget, I go by She/Her pronouns. I've been an Admin of our wonderful Shieldwall group for a few months, and a Charter member for 3 years. I absolutely love TAC and all it stands for and was eager to take on the opportunity to get more involved. I started my journey into Paganism as an early preteen/teen at around 12 or 13. (About 25 years ago... you can do the math 😆) My journey ventured on and I started learning more about Asatru at around 20-22 years old and it's just been a beautiful progression of learning and incorporating it into my own life ever since.
My husband and I are proud Heathens. We have 4 children together. I currently reside in Western NY, but grew up in Vermont and I've traveled all over the states and lived in various regions when I was a young adult. We attend a local Unitarian Universalist church where I am a youth group advisor and work with high schoolers. I am a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and take PRIDE very seriously in our house. We have been involved in a lot of different social activism organizations and try to do our part to make our community a better place. I've taken great pride in my volunteer work which has given me ample opportunity to work with so many wonderful people. Professionally, I have worked with kids for over 20 years, been a business owner, and more recently started working with kids, families and peers as a mental health peer and family support specialist. What I've come to realize is that our paths to learning are never ending. I wish to encourage equality for all and have a pretty eclectic variety of background experiences which I like to believe helps me, help others. I look forward to getting to know more of you and will make myself available to help you and all in our community. Skål! ~Bridget Marquis”
